19-year-old female will be awarded the best newcomer of the Badminton Federation
In the early hours of Beijing time yesterday, the World Badminton Annual Awards Ceremony was a grand antique. Malaysian men’s singles star Li Zongwei was nominated for the best male athlete of the year, and Japanese women’s doubles team Matsumoto Misaki/Takahashi Reiwa was elected the best female athlete of the year.The best newcomer is Chen Qingchen, a 19-year-old doubles female player from Meizhou, Guangdong. This is also the only result of Guo Yu at this awards ceremony.  Also appointed with Li Zongwei were Chen Long of the Chinese team, Zhang Nan/Fu Haifeng and others.In the end, Li Zongwei defeated other opponents and won this best practice.This is the fifth time he won the Best of the Year, Chen Long has won the award twice, Lin Dan, Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng each won one time.In terms of female athletes of the year, the first session was won by Zhou Mi of the Hong Kong team in China. After that, the team belonged to the Chinese team for 6 consecutive years. The most recent two sessions were won by foreign athletes.  The best newcomer award winner Chen Qingchen was born in 1997.In May of this year, she helped the Chinese team win the Uber Cup and became a world champion. Now it has become the backbone of Chinese badminton doubles players.Entering the new Olympic cycle, Chen Qingchen and mixed doubles partner Zheng Siwei, women’s doubles partner Jia Yifan have eye-catching performance in multiple open tournaments, Chinese team coach Li Yongbo has hand-picked Chen Qingchen through the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.  The five individual champions of the Rio Olympics all received a golden badminton trophy. Chen Long who failed to arrive, Zhang Nan/Fu Haifeng were replaced by Xia Xuanze, Liu Yuchen/Li Junhui respectively.
